**Job Description:**The Benefits Analyst will have the
opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of activities involving
the Intermountain Healthcare associate health and welfare benefit
plans and programs. This is a fast-paced and demanding, yet highly
rewarding opportunity. This individual will apply their
self-initiative, positive customer service attitude, strong
organizational skills, and knowledge to research and implement
benefit plans and programs, ensure benefit plans are administered
according to plan provisions, maintain records and procedures for
benefits administration processes, prepare communications, perform
benefit plan audits, provide customer support to both internal and
external customers, work with vendors to resolve escalated issues,
and serve as a primary contact for vendors and third party
administrators.**Scope**This position will provide recommendations
and align policies and practices with the Total Rewards Network of
Expertise strategy. The scope of this position includes maintaining
plan documents and policies for the Intermountain health and
welfare benefits program. A successful candidate will have an
in-depth knowledge of health and welfare regulations and strong
communication skills.**Job Essentials**+ Support the day-to-day
administration and operation of the associate benefit plans,
including: medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life and
accident, short- and long-term disability, HRA, FSA, EAP, wellness,
and voluntary benefits.+ Participate in efforts to implement or
enhance benefit programs, including collaborating with internal
technical resources in the testing and troubleshooting of data
feeds to and from external vendors.+ Explain associate benefits by
conducting meetings, preparing written and graphic explanations,
and responding to requests.+ Provide excellent customer service to
benefit plan participants and Human Resources (HR) staff. Serve as
an associate advocate by addressing questions from participants and
HR staff regarding benefit plan regulations, coverage, eligibility
and procedures.+ Partner with internal and external resources to
resolve complex claim and administrative issues. Track progress and
resolution through an issue tracking system.+ Develop, maintain and
improve benefit operational processes through automation, work
elimination, and process re-engineering.+ Support the annual open
enrollment process, including but not limited to: developing
planning calendar, organizing internal meetings, maintaining
project plan, communications to HR partners and associates, plan
setup with HRIS and vendors, planning and coordination of on-site
Benefit Fairs, and reviewing and updating documents including
mandated disclosures.+ Assist in the development and review of
associate benefit communications to ensure they provide proper
legal disclosure, plan provisions and benefit value.+ Gather data
and oversee the processing of monthly billing for all group plans.+
Provide assistance for due diligence and benefit integration for
acquisitions.+ Promotes mission, vision, and values of
Intermountain Healthcare, and abides by service behavior
standards.+ Performs other duties as assigned.**This position can
be performed remotely. Intermountain Healthcare maintains
employment registration in UT, NV, ID, CO, MT, KS, WY. Other
locations may be considered. Currently, we are not hiring remote
workers in the following states: CA, HI, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, OR,
WA.****This is a 100% remote position.****Minimum Qualifications**+
Some College+ Experience in health and welfare benefits+ 4 years of
related Human Resource experience in benefits+ Thorough
understanding of health and welfare benefits regulations including
PPACA, ERISA, cafeteria plans, HSA, and plan documents+ Prior
experience in data manipulation, highly detailed oriented and
strong organizational skills+ Superior computer skills including
working knowledge of worksheets, word processing, and data
management required+ Creativity, ingenuity, and strong
problem-solving skills+ Exceptional communication and customer
service skills**Preferred Qualifications**+ Bachelor's degree in
Human Resources, Business, or related field of study.+ SPHR, PHR,
CEBS or benefits professional designation+ Proficiency in report
creation within HR Systems (Workday)+ Facilitation and presentation
skills**Physical Requirements:**+ Interact with others requiring
employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand
spoken information.+ Operate computers, telephones, office
equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move
fingers and hands.+ See and read computer monitors and documents.+
Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work
