Job Description:

Plant Maintenance Mechanic FULL-TIME $36/hr This position will support operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing all facilities and battery manufacturing equipment. This position creates value for the facility by performing preventive and corrective maintenance leading to increased uptime and reliability, thus helping the facility to meet its production and quality goals. Duties include:
--- Identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and pneumatic production and plant facility equipment.
--- Performing and completing preventive maintenance tasks, per a defined schedule, and in a timely manner.
--- Documenting maintenance follow-ups through work orders in the CMMS.
--- Identifying and correcting potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions to maintenance supervisor or maintenance manager.
--- Performing machine shop work operating various machines such as drill press, lathe, welder, cutting equipment and various hand tools.
--- Repairing machines, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and fits replacement parts and/or makes replacement parts as required.
--- Reading and interpreting both electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
--- Modifying equipment as required. Installs new equipment including hook up of electrical power, gas, water, air, etc.
--- Maintain and install piping, fittings, valves, gauges, and all types of controls for hydraulic systems, gas and air lines.
--- Designing and building small tools and fixtures from sketches or verbal instructions.
--- Determining accurate and efficient methods to minimize production interruptions.
--- Utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to safety glasses, gloves, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, and electrical safety equipment.
--- Able to understand and follow strict safety guidelines including, but not limited to, LOTO, energized work, and hot work.
--- Working under minimal supervision.
--- May order supplies and help maintain maintenance work records. May procure materials from secured tool crib and log-out items removed from crib as assigned.
--- Able and willing to work in non-ideal environments such as: working at heights, and chemicals (acid). REM-04 WS-04 WS-TC WS-LC Schedule Shift start: 6:00PM Shift length: 12 hours 2-2-3 rotating schedule. 2 days on 2 days off, every other Friday Saturday Sunday. Overtime assigned for "off" days.
