TRANSPORTATION DISPATCHER - AM Hours

Terms of Employment: 11-Month, Full-Time Employee
Reports to: Transportation Manager

Job Goal: Maintain efficient communications and route assignments among the fleet of vehicles operated for the transportation of students

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispatch personnel and vehicles as prescribed by Supervisor
• Serve as receptionist for the Transportation Office and assume primary responsibility for the two-way radio communication system
• Assigns students to appropriate vehicles and routes
• Maintains and updates student routing and attendance schedules using available technology
• Assist with in-servicing and proper training of crossing guard personnel
• Verify and record for use by the Transportation Program, the calendars, time schedules, closings, late starts, and early dismissals for all schools and students served
• All applicants must be able and willing to train to get their CDL and proper endorsements to drive a School Bus for OC

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to communicate effectively

      • Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for the candidate who is offered employment

      • Mandatory Direct Deposit of paycheck
