This position provides leadership in the organization or functional
area and is primarily engaged in management activities that
establish the direction of a department, function, or project. The
position requires the application of knowledge gained from
experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities.
The position will make decisions in areas that may impact the
organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies,
procedures, work practices, or compliance programs.
SCOPE:
This position serves as the Logistics Manager at a US Government
activity. The incumbent will direct daily operations in the
Consolidated Service Center (CSC), Logistic, Warehousing and
Property Management. Areas of responsibility include shipping and
receiving, warehousing, property management, stock control
activities, a consolidated supply services office, and
transportation functions. Additionally, this position interacts
with other program managers to ensure effective support to program
projects and facilities operations and maintenance (O&M).
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:
--- Manage personnel and provide an environment for the development
and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job
and formal training and development opportunities, and timely
performance feedback. Ensure team members have necessary training
to complete their duties and work in a safe environment
--- Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental
and Sustainability Policies
--- Responsible for the implementation, management, and monitoring
of the material management work process and warehouse management
system of record (SAP)
--- Manage the material management activities for designated
projects and operations requirements
--- Direct the generation of Purchase Requests (PR) in the approved
material management reference
System
--- Maintain the highest ethical standards of material management
professional responsibility
--- Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies
and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions,
and locations
--- Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems
and evaluate realistic options; recommend/implement appropriate
courses of action
--- Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and
multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities,
and meet critical time deadlines
--- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures,
and global standards
--- Basic Job Requirements
--- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in
applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related
experience or a combination of education and directly related
experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some
locations may have additional or different qualifications in order
to comply with local requirements
--- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include
but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors,
contractors, and visitors
--- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the
job
--- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local,
state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
--- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and
time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
--- Have minimum five (5) years of experience managing similar
efforts.
--- Manage Contractor's logistics, procurement, transportation, and
warehousing activities.
--- Implement and manage a streamlined cost-effective procurement
and transportation process that eliminates redundancy and is
responsive to the customer's needs.
--- Provide current and accurate documentation outlining the
location of all capital equipment and its value.
--- Track and report supply chain status to the customer.
--- Be knowledgeable of the FAR with respect to property
classification, and the property life cycle.
--- Possess an active Secret clearance or higher
