Role Overview:
The Mechanical Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading mechanical engineering design efforts for building services projects, with a focus on HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and sustainable solutions. This position involves technical leadership, project management, and hands-on design responsibilities to support high-quality project delivery from concept through construction.


Key Responsibilities:

- Design HVAC systems, perform load calculations, and select appropriate mechanical equipment for various building types

- Develop plumbing and drainage system designs, as well as fire protection layouts

- Prepare detailed technical specifications and construction documentation

- Participate in construction phase activities including site visits, submittal reviews, and addressing contractor inquiries

- Utilize BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit) to produce and coordinate design drawings

- Conduct energy evaluations, sustainability assessments, and explore renewable energy integration opportunities

- Analyze design alternatives from a technical and economic perspective to inform project decisions

- Support project scheduling, manpower forecasting, and budget oversight for engineering services

- Contribute to facility evaluations and master planning efforts to guide client strategies


Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

- 5 to 15 years of progressive mechanical engineering experience, including leadership of design teams

- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit software tools

- Preferred certifications include LEED Accreditation, Certified Energy Manager, or credentials in building commissioning and verification
