Front Desk/Patient Service Rep

We are looking for an experienced Patient Service Rep to join our team and help run our practice. The Patient Service Rep will be responsible for greeting patients as they arrive, verifying their personal and insurance information, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls. The Patient Service Rep will also assist with handling billing inquiries, helping patients complete medical forms, and maintaining medical records in an organized and confidential manner. The ultimate goal of the Patient Service Rep is to provide excellent customer service to patients while ensuring that the practice operates efficiently and effectively.

Job Type: Full Time, On-site

Responsibilities for the Patient Service Rep:

  • Greet and treat all patients in a kind and professional manner
  • Conduct, communicate and dress appropriately
  • Answer all incoming phone calls and transfer to the correct person
  • Schedule appointments as instructed
  • Inform patient of necessary paperwork and prepare work orders
  • Obtain the proper documents for insurance companies/plans
  • Verify patient benefits and pre-certify our services
  • Conduct, communicate and dress appropriately
  • Exercise knowledge of different insurance company's or plan's procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service to all patients

    Requirements of the Patient Service Rep:
    • Minimum 2-3+ years of experience in the Medical Clinic environment or related fields
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Knowledge of anatomy and medical code is a plus
    • Works independently while using good judgment
    • Makes sound decisions and communicates professionally
    • Works in a fast-paced environment
    • Handles sensitive information in confidence and with discretion.
    • Meets deadlines and prioritizes duties as necessary
    • Proficient with multiple-line phone systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
    • Organized and detail-oriented
