Description Position: Resource Parent Support Worker (RPSW) Job
Type/Hours: FT Exempt., 40hrs. M-F, Schedule is based on the
program and client needs. Location: 4404 N 5th St. Philadelphia, PA
19140 Summary of Position: The Resource Parent Support Worker
(RPSW) provides primary support to resource parents working
with/caring for children placed at the General level of care. The
RPSW engages in a variety of activities intended to promote the
stability of General placements by ensuring that resource parents
have the knowledge and skills they need to manage and cope with
challenges exhibited by children in their care. The RPSW is chiefly
engaged in face-to-face coaching, behavior modification, and
service coordination, but also carries out tasks related to
communicating with external partners and auditing and reporting on
assigned cases. Contact with individuals, their families,
representatives of private and public welfare agencies,
representatives of professional and community groups, and the
public, as well as support and coaching of resource parents are of
major significance to the work. Work is performed under the general
supervision of the Supervisor of Resource Parent Support Workers.
Minimum Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Social Work or related
field including but not limited to sociology, psychology,
counseling, criminal justice, education, divinity, or public health
administration Minimum of one year of direct social work experience
providing services to children and families in a behavioral health
setting. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus! Adult and Pediatric CPR
Certification Required PA Child Abuse Clearance required PA
Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training Required FBI Clearance
